Taj, a storyteller from a New England hamlet, was homeschooled by his writer mother and craftsman father. He studied classical guitar for 12 years, then continued his musical pursuits as the drummer of a lo-fi rock band in college. His short films have screened at Slamdance, Palm Springs, Moscow International, and Tokyo Short Shorts, with his short film "Ash" selected by Barry Jenkins for the Telluride Film Festival. His screenplay "Experience" won the Gold Prize for Drama in the PAGE International Screenwriting Awards and is in development with Brown Bag Pictures. Additionally, his screenplay "Unwomanly Things" about a historic sporting event in 1893 and its impact on women's rights is in development with Pollack Films. Taj is an avid coffee drinker and lives in a casita in Sacramento.
