Sandra, a University of Houston graduate with a psychology major and political science minor, has contributed to platforms like Livestrong, eHow, Global Post, Modern Mom, and The Classroom. She's a former StudioD on-air talent expert. She won the 2022 Stowe Lab/NYX Horror Collective Fellowship with her horror piece "Marked", and her script "Article V" won the 2017 Sacramento International Film Festival's Outstanding Drama Award. Her thriller "Fade to Black" was a 2018 Scriptapalooza quarterfinalist. Sandra advises the National Writers Union Grievance and Contract Division Committee and serves on the National Writers Union Executive Board. Additionally, she's a member of the Organization of Black Screenwriters.
