Maria-Katre is a Los Angeles-based writer, actor, producer, and musician. She graduated from "The British American Drama Academy" in Oxford, England. As a young person, Maria-Katre grew up in Ypsilanti, Michigan, where she developed a passion for storytelling and creation.
At 22, Maria-Katre produced her award-winning documentary "In Their Eyes (2008)," which explored the lives of blind adults and children. The film won a 1st place Associated Press Award and is on display at Florida A&M University's School of Journalism and Graphic Communication.
Maria-Katre moved to Los Angeles in 2009 to pursue an acting career, but continued to write short films and TV series pilots. Her latest short film "Dr. West’s Fervor" was selected into over 13 festivals in the 2022-23 circuit.
She is currently in production on three new projects, including two TV pilots and a documentary.
