Luyen "Lu" Vu is an American film editor who began studying philosophy at UCLA before attending the USC School of Cinematic Arts graduate film program. He started his career as an Assistant Editor on Emmy-nominated shows such as Arrested Development and Heroes, and was promoted to Editor on JJ Abrams' series Fringe.

In 2014, Lu met Oscar winner John Ridley and collaborated with him on the ABC limited series American Crime. Their work included a pilot episode that garnered 10 Emmy nominations, including one for Lu's editing. They also worked together on pilots and the sci-fi feature Needle in a Timestack for Lionsgate.

Lu has edited pilots with directors such as Jessica Yu, Nicole Kassel, Steph Green, Rachel Morrison, and Liz Friedlander. He serves on the executive committee of the Academy of Television and is an active member of ACE. Lu recently edited Five Days at Memorial for John Ridley, Carlton Cuse, and Apple TV+.
