Loretta is a Dutch-Puerto Rican filmmaker nominated for Emmy Awards. Her debut feature documentary "Behind the Blood" premiered at IDFA 2019 and won Best International Documentary at Oslo 2020. She works on her second feature, set on the US-Mexico border, and co-directs an international doc about climate change cases.

Her work includes short films like "Sound of Vision" (PBS POV) and documentaries as a line producer, such as "Huesos que Hablan". Loretta holds master's degrees from NYU's Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute and the University of Utrecht. She co-founded the New Producers Academy, an 18-month fellowship program for emerging film producers from underrepresented communities.
