Jennifer Kim is a Korean American TV and feature writer, journalist, former media producer, and recovering high school teacher. A daughter of disco-loving immigrants from North and South Korea, she grew up in Appalachia.

She began her career at PBS and now writes offbeat character-driven stories that blend self-discovery with social themes. Her protagonists are resilient outsiders who enjoy disrupting the status quo. Grief often is their underlying wound.

Pilot projects include THE KOREAN AMERICAN WITCHES SOCIETY (YA/family) and THE INCREDIBLE KIMCHI DOKKAEBI (sci-fi, action, workplace comedy). A graduate of UCLA with an MFA in screenwriting, Jennifer has contributed to USA TODAY, LOS ANGELES TIMES, NPR, and KCRW. She is represented by Industry Entertainment.
