James Cody, a Nashville-based music producer and multi-instrumentalist, specializes in electro-acoustic production and many other areas. He holds music degrees from The University of Alabama in Birmingham and Belmont University, and has studied classical guitar and jazz.

During his junior year, he was hired by Dr. Henry Panion, III to play guitar on an arrangement for a worldwide tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King's "I Have A Dream" speech. Subsequently, James joined UAB Digital Media as a fellow, composing and producing music for documentaries.

James has received two Silver ADDY awards: one for his original song "Rise", and another alongside a co-recipient for sound design on the video "Uncomfortable?", which was part of a U.S. funded heroin prevention campaign.

James has built a reputable career over a decade in the music industry, known for his versatility as a guitarist and producer. He recently composed the score for "Beware of Goat", which won Best Comedy at the 2023 Tonkawa Film Festival.
