Hila Hamidi is the daughter of Afghan refugees and a digital content creator/writer-producer. She works to share untold stories, having departed Afghanistan with only their stories. Despite disappointing her parents by not becoming an engineer, she obtained a business and screenwriting degree from USC. She has since worked with National Geographic, Warner Bros. Stage 13, Break the Room, and as a Coordinating Producer on Chuck Lorre’s United States of Al. She runs her own blog and YouTube channel, Hilastan, to bridge the gap between her two worlds.
