Gwen Mesco began her TV writing career on nonfiction shows, including BIG BROTHER and documentaries. Inspired by the WGA's reality writers unionization effort, she volunteered organizing work before attending law school at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduation, Gwen interned at the White House Domestic Policy Council under President Obama, then took corporate law classes, realizing she was off track. She later attended UCB and Magnet Theater, becoming a writer and performer on sketch teams and writing for REDUCTRESS.
