I'm a documentary director and editor based in Durham, NC, and co-run Alala Productions, specializing in commercial videography and feature documentaries. I'm interested in stories about people and subcultures, particularly those related to politics, race relations, and arts communities. Currently, I'm co-directing/producing The Benson Five, a feature doc about the 1968 attempted arson of a Ku Klux Klan building committed by five black youths in Benson, NC (fiscally sponsored by the Southern Documentary Fund). In 2023, Todd McPhail and I released a feature-length doc about the Kraken, a notorious roadside bar in Chapel Hill, NC. My two main strengths are editing and conducting interviews.
