"Cuban filmmaker based in Los Angeles. Stylized visuals, magical realism, nature, and social drama combine in my work. I founded EL CENTRAL with Oscar Ernesto Ortega, producing award-winning titles like 'La Isla de Corcho'.

I moved to LA in 2012 for graduate studies at the American Film Institute, becoming the first Cuban Directing Fellow. My AFI thesis film, "Running Shadow", played at multiple festivals.

With Oscar Ernesto, I wrote and directed my feature film, "The Last Rafter", a personal story about our immigrant experience. The film had a successful festival run and was distributed on HBO Max. Our new film 'Borrowed' premiered at the Miami International Film Festival and is part of the Sundance Latino Filmmaker Network Distribution Program."
