Annette Haywood-Carter began directing with THE FOOT SHOOTING PARTY, starring Leonardo DiCaprio. Financed by Touchstone Pictures, it premiered at Sony Studios.

Prior to directing, Annette worked as a script supervisor on major studio films. Spielberg offered her an episode of SeaQuest to direct and she was hired for FOXFIRE, where she pulled Angelina Jolie out of auditions and launched her career.

Rysher Entertainment hired Annette to write and direct LOVE IS STRANGE, which won rave reviews from The Hollywood Reporter.

In addition to directing, Annette wrote-for-hire credits include a CBS television miniseries, Disney adaptation, and script-doctoring. She directed SAVANNAH starring Sam Shepard and Chiwetel Ejiofor, and launched development company ARCH PICTURES in California.
